How do we design a great performing distillation system?

Each distillation process is unique. A lot of factors need to be taken into consideration in order for us to be able to design a system that gives optimal results. We encourage you to give us as much data as possible to enable us to propose a system that will deliver the high quality of results that you expect. Below is a list of parameters that we may require.

Feed material data
-feed amount, throughput, composition and temperature

Desired distillate properties
-purity required, rate of collection

Operating condition
-pressure, temperature, control preference (manual or automatic), reflux control

Installation
-space limitations, ex-proof or non ex-proof

Bottom material
-composition

Heat source
-heating mantle, thermostat, oil bath or steam

Other material properties
-any available physical and chemical properties of the distillation mixture

Options
-thermometer pockets, column packing (structured packing, random glass or oldershaw column), heater type, feed line specification, frame and reflux timer
